★★★★★
Dr. TH is fantastic for climbing! I came to him with a shoulder issue; and, after several sessions, I was stronger and no longer feeling the same post- climb pain. Highly recommend reaching out to TH if there’s something body-related holding you back from enjoying climbing. He’s a fantastic resource and a pleasure to work with. The knowledge and exercises we worked on were directly applicable to climbing (jumping up a bouldering grade as an unexpected result). It’s bittersweet that the Dr. got my shoulder moving properly so quickly since I enjoyed our sessions! (As a bonus, I learned my one of my hands is stronger at crimps and one is stronger at open-hand drags!)

TH is an absolute wizard at physical therapy! I started seeing him after a shoulder injury I got climbing, and not only did he help me heal it, he pinpointed the weak muscles in my shoulder that caused it and was able to give me exercises to strengthen those muscles and to improve my climbing in the long run. As a climber, having a PT who is also a climber is huge. He understood my goals and was genuinely passionate about getting me back on the wall and improving my climbing. And on top of all that, he’s great guy! Thank you so much TH for all your help!

If you're looking for a climbing specific PT, see TH! I suffered my worst climbing injury to date after having been an avid climber for 15 years. I thought I was going to be out for a while, but TH got me back in action and feeling strong much quicker than I expected! Very knowledgeable and very thorough, I will be back.

This place is fantastic - I came in with some elbow pain and hip pain from climbing and worked with TH and it's been one of the best physical therapy experiences I've ever had. TH does a great job at not only diagnosing the issues, but also pointing out areas of weakness to work on, setting up a great workout plan, while ALSO educating the patient on how the anatomy works together. I've left with a solid workout plan, a greater understanding of my physical wellbeing, and my pain either completely eliminated or on it's way out. Thank you!

FANTASTIC CLIMBER PHYSICAL THERAPY! I highly recommend visiting Dr. TomHenry (TH) David for any climbing injury. I was dealing with a fairly agitated A2 pulley for over a year, climbing through the pain, but ultimately not performing well and not climbing nearly as much as I would like to. Upon recommendation from another climber friend, I saw TH. TH is incredibly knowledgeable about the body mechanics of climbing and is very approachable and professional. TH immediately identified some underlying issues with my body posture that was likely manifesting into the pain I was experiencing. He gave me strength and mobility exercises, and I think more importantly the knowledge about how I should be crimping differently. After only a few short months, I am back at the gym every other day and seeing great improvement in performance and decrease in pain.

After my foot injury I was struggling to explain my pre injury climbing abilities and post injury goals to another PT. Working with TH was a relief, finally someone who understood what I was after!
TH gave me exercises and stretches to strengthen my foot/ankle/leg muscles that were affected by my injury. I could do the exercises at home and some as a warm up at the climbing gym. I noticed gains pretty quickly both on the wall and in my daily life.
I looked forward to going to PT and getting new exercises and seeing progress each week instead of viewing it as another chore I had to do as part of the healing process. Although I still need a few more weeks of strengthening a specific muscle/movement I'm sure based on previous results the exercises provided will unlock the last remaining piece of the puzzle needed to get me back to pre injury levels.

TH is stoked on healing people and pays attention to your specific needs. You can tell he likes what he does. You can also tell he is up to date on the latest science. His knowledge combined with his expert eye and time spent with me resulted in him seeing and spotting my current weaknesses and coming up with a plan to target the weaknesses so I could get stronger.

I encourage anyone to see TH if you are a climber and also to continue with your physical therapy and not just as a quick fix but to build strength and healing.
